The Development Economics Group (ETH-DEC) is offering a paid internship position in Development Economics. Starting time is the 1st of September 2023 for 6 months. 

Job description

In this position, you will mainly work on cleaning data sets and conducting statistical analysis in preparation for academic publications. Furthermore, you will also be responsible for visualizing results and literature reviews. In addition, you will be involved in organizational tasks related to running our research group.

Your profile

• You have a Master’s degree in economics, statistics, or a related field.
• You have a strong background in quantitative methods, are excited to code, and are interested in development economics.
• Working knowledge of the statistical software R and/or STATA is required.
• You must speak and write English fluently.
• Knowledge of InDesign is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of French or German is a plus, but not required.

This is a position to get some research experience between a Master’s degree and a PhD program.
